One case record, from intake onward.
Tim Ottowitz kept seeing firms accept an intake and then type the same information into a second system. He founded OBE so the answers, documents, corrections, and unfinished work could stay with the case record.
The starting point
Accepted intake still had to be entered again.
Bennett Legal compared $44,000 for Filevine, $21,000 for Moxo, and $22,000 for data extraction pipelines each year, for a total of $87,000. Those figures excluded staff and lawyer time. The intake-to-case handoff remained.
That experience shaped the product. The case study makes no claim about savings, speed, capacity, completeness, or legal outcomes.
