Built with trial lawyer Charles Bennett

Stop renting your intake and document pipeline.

Get the code, run it on infrastructure you control, and keep your intake answers and extracted document data in your own system.

  • No per-seat OBE fees
  • Full source code access
  • Private infrastructure you control
Why we built it

Data engineer Tim Ottowitz and Dallas trial lawyer Charles Bennett built OBE after Bennett Legal ran into high software bills and too much manual intake work.

Renting or owning

Every renewal pays for another year. A license gives you the code.

If your firm is considering a custom build, OBE gives you working legal software to start from.

Pay by the year

The bill rises with your team and caseload.

  • Annual software bills climb as your team and caseload grow.
  • Your case data and daily work sit in a vendor's product.
  • Generic intake makes your staff work around the software.
  • An internal build begins by solving the same basic plumbing again.
Own the code

Start with working legal software and change it as you need.

  • Pay once for the codebase instead of paying OBE per seat.
  • Run it on private infrastructure with files your team controls.
  • Set intake and screening rules for each case type.
  • Keep developing the system as your firm changes.
From intake to casework

Set the software up for the way your firm works.

Intake answers, uploaded documents, reviewed facts, messages, and lawyer decisions stay with the matter as it moves into casework.

01

Screen leads before someone picks up the phone.

Add a mobile intake form to your site. Your case-type rules screen each submission and send the matters you want to review to a structured work inbox.

02

Pull facts from documents and show where they came from.

Each uploaded document has its own parsing pipeline. Reviewers can open the exact place in the PDF behind every extracted fact.

03

See the whole file before a lawyer reviews it.

FactFrame brings the required facts together. Calls and transcripts stay in the case folder, and missing information is easy to spot.

04

Move an approved claimant into casework.

Send the matter to a lawyer, invite the claimant to sign, handle declines, and move signed cases into the right arbitration stage.

Check the source

See where each fact came from.

Reducto parses each uploaded document. Every extracted fact links to the exact place in the original PDF, so your team can check it without hunting through the file.

Add a human review step wherever your team needs one.

How the move works

Start with one case type.

  1. 1

    Set up one case type

List the questions, documents, review rules, and handoffs your team uses for that type of matter.

  2. 2

    Plan the move

We review your current tools, data, integrations, and hosting needs before anything moves.

  3. 3

    Launch it on your infrastructure

Deploy the licensed codebase, configure the first workflow, and keep building around the way your firm works.

Hosting, usage-based third-party services, data migration, and custom development cost extra. We review those costs with you before you buy.

Before you buy

Ask about the code, the move, and the ongoing costs.

We use the call to review fit, migration risk, and the first case type you want to set up.

What does ownership cost?

Buying the repository for your own firm costs $14,900 once, and we deploy the intake system end to end within two weeks. The SaaS-ready package costs $59,000 and includes commercial rights for client-facing or multi-tenant products. Hosting, third-party services, migration, and custom development are priced separately after we review your requirements.

Will we still have ongoing costs?

OBE charges no recurring platform or per-seat fee for the licensed codebase. You still pay the providers you choose for hosting, document parsing, communications, storage, e-signature, and other third-party services.

Can this replace our current intake and document processing stack?

It depends on your workflows and integrations. During the call, we map what can move now, what needs custom development, and where a phased migration makes sense.

Who configures and develops the system?

You receive the source code and setup guidance. OBE can also scope migration, case-type setup, custom intake, rule books, and continued development with your team.

How does document extraction stay reviewable?

Each extracted fact links back to the relevant place in the original PDF. You can add human review wherever your workflow calls for it.

Is the system limited to solar fraud matters?

Solar panel fraud is one example of a repeatable consumer arbitration workflow. The codebase can support other case types, screening rules, document sets, and state-specific issue spotting.
